Awali Musim Tanam, Petani Desa Negeri Ratu Baru Laksanakan Pembajakan Sawah
Desa Negeri Ratu Baru, Kecamatan Bunga Mayang, Kabupaten OKU Timur, mulai melaksanakan kegiatan pembajakan sawah pada bulan Januari sebagai tahap awal dalam persiapan musim tanam padi. Kegiatan ini dilakukan oleh para petani dengan menggunakan mesin traktor untuk mengolah lahan pertanian agar siap ditanami.
Pembajakan sawah merupakan proses penting dalam pertanian, karena bertujuan untuk menggemburkan tanah, membersihkan sisa-sisa tanaman sebelumnya, serta memperbaiki struktur tanah agar lebih subur. Dengan kondisi tanah yang baik, diharapkan pertumbuhan padi nantinya dapat lebih maksimal.
Para petani Desa Negeri Ratu Baru terlihat antusias dalam melaksanakan kegiatan ini. Sejak pagi hari, mereka sudah mulai mengolah lahan sawah masing-masing secara bergotong royong dan saling membantu. Selain menggunakan tenaga sendiri, sebagian petani juga memanfaatkan jasa traktor untuk mempercepat proses pembajakan.
Kegiatan pembajakan ini juga menjadi tanda dimulainya rangkaian kegiatan pertanian pada awal tahun. Setelah tahap pembajakan selesai, para petani akan melanjutkan dengan penggaruan, perataan lahan, dan penanaman bibit padi.
Pemerintah Desa Negeri Ratu Baru berharap, dengan dimulainya pengolahan sawah sejak bulan Januari, hasil panen tahun ini dapat meningkat dan kesejahteraan para petani semakin baik. Selain itu, sektor pertanian di desa diharapkan terus berkembang sebagai sumber utama perekonomian masyarakat.
